Several ways in which people respond or react to extreme panic are well documented. What we find interesting is how many different types of patterns there are. For example, there may be immediate reactions or delayed reactions. Panic attackes could be over quickly, or they could go on for ages. There could be certain type of circumstances that control how a person is able to deal with a situation like this. If the symptoms of anxiety do not occur until much later in the day, then that person may not be aware of what caused it. In that case, there could be inaccuracies and possible confusion as to why they are happening or what do to about them. Therefore, it is important in these situations to take a very broad overview of one’s circumstances. One approach to dealing with particular forms of anxiety and the ensuing stress, is to communicate with others who have shared experiences. Some people will find it valuable to be in a support group. A support group type of environment is not meant for everyone. One additional benefit to support groups is they can be very helpful to those with limited resources and other types of support that are personal. The immediate environment may not have the personal support of family members or close friends.
